AK Solutions again participated in the Gift Bag (”Swag Bag”) Promotion for the 2008 ESPY Awards, with our flagship AlcoMate Premium breathalyzer.

There is a front page article in the October 15, 2007 issue of USA Today that highlights the growing problem of teen alcohol use and the use of breathalyzers as one of the key methods to fight this problem. This article highlights a school district in Pequannock, NJ, that has implemented the use of breathalyzers citing the improvements in breath alcohol sensing technology. The current trend among high schools that activate an alcohol testing program is to screen students before major activities, such as sports events or the prom. The AL3500 was showcased during “The Bar Show” 2007 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The Bar Show exhibitors included bar owners, large brewers and winers, microbreweries, restauranteurs and bar-related technology presenters. Our booth attracted lots of attention from both industry professionals as well as curious attendees, who gathered in crowds to try out the coin-operated breath tester for themselves.

A Gift Bag containing many of the latest accessories, electronics and other trendy items was given to each award nominee and celebrity presenter at the awards show. Stuff Magazine selected the AlcoMate Prestige as one of the “Best Products” in the 2007 ESPY Gift Bag. Other media coverage included articles from the July editions of the Chicago Tribune and websites like MediaBistro.com, as well as the August edition of ESPN the Magazine.

We exhibited our AL3500 vending-style breathalyzer, as well as our line of portable breath tester products, at CES 2007. We met with many industry executives, corporate buyers and sales/marketing representatives researching breath alcohol technology and consumer alcohol testers, with whom we have established several vendor relations and other business partnerships.
