The AlcoMate Core (Model AL6000 Lite) analyzes a breath sample to detect alcohol in the lungs. This reading is then converted to blood alcohol concentration (BAC). The AlcoMate Core uses an advanced oxide semiconductor sensor to detect alcohol.
